28. The Laws for Worshipping God (Exodus 23: 20 - 24)
God gave the people of Israel the Commandment and laws to serve and worship Him alone. God also promised to lead them to Canaan and blessed their livelihood if they served Him alone. Yet, history showed that it didn't last long. After entering Canaan as God promised, the Israelites turned to worship the pagan gods of Canaanites. It seemed that God's promises and blessings had been fulfilled, hence there was no incentive to follow the Commandment anymore. Could this happen to us too? Did we worship God just to fulfill our needs like the Israelites? If so, then what should we do?
